No new's yet

We are still waiting for the all elusive letter from Moscow. Our coordinator told us that we should hear something next week. However, they have been telling us this for 3 weeks now. I am not going to get into the details because I might say something that I will regret, so for now I will hold my tongue. We are really hoping to get our court date in the next week. On a happier note I am so thrilled for my fellow PAPs that have gotten there court dates and referrals. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and staying warm. Nick and I will be watching the Superbowl with friends and snuggling with our puppy's.

  5. Adoption is the most emotional journey I've ever been through so I understand what you are going through right now. I wrote on an earlier post about our lost referral from Stavropol- like you, we met our children but the judge overturned a previous decision so they were given back to the birth parent. I must admit that it was comforting to read your blog because you too have experienced the same grief and pain. You understand.... We are waiting on a response from Russia on how & if we should move forward now. Thank you for posting your journey- it has helped me as we try to understand what just happened to our family. You are a very strong person and I look forward to following the final chapter of your adoption journey. Thank you!

  7. We have so much in common with our adoption process. I must admit I never expected the courts decision to give back the mothers rights! We were told by the Deputy Minister of Ed. That there was NO WAY for the mother to get her children back. Everyone I talked with said that it was unheard of to ask a judge to overturn a previous court decision and actually have her parental rights reinstated. We are devastated and so sad for our girls. The girls were taken away in may 2009 & have been in an orphanage since then - almost two years. They were available for any type of adoption for over a year &1/2. We question why this happened. I do believe the abuse cases played a major role in this process. I would like to talk with you more about your case and share our stories. I sent my # on a reply email but not sure if that worked. I am not a blogger so I don't know how to best get in touch with you. I want to talk with you about our adoption journey . Donna
