In Russia

We made it to Russia safe and sound, and all of our luggage. Here in southern Russia there is snow on the ground and the temp is around 20F. Moscow was cold, but we are from Minnesota so we are used to extreme cold. Monday we did our 8 doctor med, and it was a all day event we went all over town to each doctor, we passed. We have seen our boy 3 times so far, I was taking back to see him in the same outfit that I gave to him the last time I was here. I am going to do some serious cooking when we get him home. We have court on Thursday and Friday so please keep us in your prayers. I hope the next time I post we will have some good news.

  10. Our babe was in the same outfit we left him in as well, almost 6 months later! He was even wearing it the day I picked him up. I found it special that that "saved" it for him, but sad he was still fitting into it. Best wishes at court!

  19. Please let us know you are home & safe. No matter what has happened during this process, you are part of a very large adoption family and we are there for you. Many of us, share your story & journey. Please let everyone know that you are okay. We are concerned & most of all we truly care about you. Thank you,

  20. I fear your adoption was denied. I pray that is not the case. I've heard Stavropol is becoming impossible to work with and very demanding. Reece's Rainbow even had to stop working with the region. I was hoping to adopt again from my son's orphanage a girl I met there and now do not think that will ever happen.

Perhaps this blog could give you some comfort if this was the case: http://oureyesopened.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

If this is not the case and you are just swamped with your new arrival let me know what a dolt I'm being. Please know as Donna said you are part of my adoption family!

  21. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CONTACT URSULA OR NICK TO FIND OUT IF THEY ARE SAFE AND OKAY?
I keep checking every few days hoping for a post but still nothing. It is quite scary to be honest!

Ursula, PLEASE post something to let us know you guys are safe. Even if something has happened you know there are a lot of people out here in blog land that are you friends.

    Love,
    Sheila

  22. We are all concerned.....I also check every couple of days especially since we lost our referral in Stavropol for two girls earlier this year. We had spent one week in Stavropol meeting the girls only to find out that the birth mother was requesting to have her rights re-instated. It has been a painful few months for our family but I was hoping that Ursula was successful in her journey to adopt in that region. I have been very concerned, as everyone, especially for their safety. ursula, please let us know you are safe and home. We wrap our arms around you.
